Why do you need two pieces clip-on handlebars on your motorcycle ?

What are clip-on handlebars and why would you need to install them on your street/racing bike ?

Racers choose clip-on handlebars for a number of different reasons,one of the biggest reasons is going to be much much easier to install!

Let's imagine that you are going to a track day and are enjoying a racing , accidently you tip over and one of the most common parts damaged with almost every fall is going to be handlebars,so if they are damaged either bent or snapped off,you then have to replace the entire assembly with your stock handlebars ,you have to remove the top triple clamp and  then remove the OEM upper handlebar clamp before you can install your aftermarket handlebars,that's obviously not something you want to do at the racetrack,while when you have clip-ons on the bike where they are two pieces,you have a cuff that's one piece and a bar that is another piece,all you have to do is to loosen the fasteners up and off ,and than bar comes okay ,you just need simply replace the bar instead of the entire clip on,it may just take a few mimutes and then you can continue to enjoy your racing!
